Life Magazine

Apon first look at this photo, I wasn't quite sure what it was and what it meant. To me, it just looked like a castle. I noticed that it was printed in black and white which told me it was probably from a long time ago and the reason I figured it may be a castle. I'm not quite sure what made me choose this photo instead of all those others, maybe it was because I thought it was a castle! lol I liked the simplicity of the image in the picture which appealed to my pathos. The colors were simple; black and white, appealing to pathos. After reading the caption behinde this picture, i realized it was the first photo to ever grace the cover of Life Magazine. It was a picture of Fort Peck Dam. Pretty signifigant, I mean it is the first ever cover of Life Magazine.

Great catch, Andy!

Interestingly, this photo was taken by Maragaret Bourke-White, about whom the international students just learned. They listened to a podcast about her created by one of the instructors.

Hi! andy.
for this picture, at the beginning, i think it's a prison, i don't know why i'm thinking it looks like that. after i read the script of imagines, it's a dam, no way. i know you choose this one, but why do you choose it? hard to understand.
